The CSIM SMA Trading and Trade Support Team is responsible for providing focused support to Portfolio Managers and Traders for trade order generation, tax loss harvesting and account maintenance on behalf of Schwab’s separately managed account (SMA) products. In addition, the team is responsible for several strategic, multi-year projects, cross-functional reporting, as well as ad-hoc operational strategy support to other teams within the larger organization. The Sr. Specialist will play a key role in managing client assets against our proprietary models, fulfilling client requests, reconciling custodian data and assisting in the creation and maintenance of vital client records. The Sr. Specialist will:
Effectively partner with a large, geographically dispersed team
Effectively process and manage all client account maintenance requests
Review and reconcile client account restrictions on a periodic basis
Troubleshoot issues related to system generated Lifecycle Workflows
Assist in the integration of additional strategies onto the portfolio management systems
Review and maintain client restrictions impacted by corporate actions in the accounting and trading systems as needed
Liaise with partners in Managed Account Operations, CSIM Client Services, SAM SMA Reconciliation and Performance, SAM SMA Order Generation, and Investment Guidelines Oversight to maintain client accounts and execute client requests accurately and in a timely manner
Create and maintain desktop procedures, job aides, and checklists documenting best practices
Learn how to support other CSIM SMA products in a backup capacity
Work on ad hoc projects or initiatives to support the team
What you have
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of financial services experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with a superior level of attention to detail
Collaborative and relational work style with proven success in a team environment
Proficient with Microsoft products Word and PowerPoint. Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
Use of VestmarkONE for portfolio management and order generation preferred
Able to start work at 7AM ET

CO Salary Range: USD $58,200 - $88,000 / Year
