State of Montana Driver/Mover – Surplus Property in Helena, Montana

What is this career opportunity? * The Department of Administration’s General Services Division (GSD) is looking fora service-oriented individual with transport driving, forklift, and mechanic experience to join their Surplus Property team! You would be part of a small team that is responsible for the acquisition and disposal of State and Federal surplus property. Surplus property includes assets such as office equipment and furniture, vehicles, heavy machinery, and other unique and interesting items, and you would transport these items.You would also operate a forklift, predominantly in a gravel yard, moving heavy equipment and attachments. You would be responsible for the display of the surplus goods, assisting with selling of those goods, routine maintenance on equipment, and various other tasks to support the team. Traveling the beautiful State of Montana is a substantial part of this position; you would be doing day trips up to 50% of the time with an occasional overnight trip. (You can learn more about Surplus Propertyhere.)* What are we looking for? * *__Education and Experience: // · High school diploma or equivalent and two or more years applicable work experience; OR · Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. (CDL, a Heavy Equipment Operators Certification, and/or forklift experience would be a plus!)
