The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mission Systems Task Order Lead to join the F/A-18 Mission Systems team located in St. Louis, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The F/A-18 Mission Systems team is processing an ever-growing list of new contracts and initiatives that need to be organized, managed and executed. This position is for a lead systems engineer that will work in the Task Order captain role for the Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to manager the broad set of initiatives coming to F/A-18 Mission Systems. This position is a lead engineering role to lead/manage new customer initiatives and requirements for the F/A-18 and EA-18G Mission Systems products, coordinate estimates and budgets, distribute work to engineering teams and to track engineering technical and business performance.

Position Responsibilities:

The person selected for this position will lead/manage new customer initiatives and requirements, coordinate estimates and budgets, distribute work to engineering teams and will track engineering technical and business performance. This individual will be coordinating across a broad set of engineers. This person will be the primary point of contact with the customer and will be directly coordinating with Boeing Program Management. This is a leadership position with much visibility. General understanding of Mission Systems and software development would greatly benefit this individual.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced and Lead Mission Systems Task Order Lead

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, project management, supplier management, engineering, math, and/or accounting

  • Experience in a role that required creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in avionics/systems integration with military aircraft systems.

  • Understanding of Agile Development

  • Experience in estimating, CAM, and EVM awareness

Typical Education:

Experienced Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range (Level 3 Experienced): $96,050-$129,950

Summary pay range (Level 4 Lead): $119,850-$162,150
